The French progressive symphonic band ADAGIO was officially pulled together in 2000. The founder, extremely talented guitarist Stéphan Forté fronts the band. Drummer Dirk Bruinenberg (ELEGY) was recruited by Forté and recorded their only 2 albums to date. Sadly, Dirk has left the band in search of a more stable personal life (according to ADAGIo's official site), he was to be replaced by Eric Lebailly. Vocalist David Readman (PINK CREAM 69) also recorded their 2 albums but due to conlfict with Readman's management, ADAGIO was forced to let go of their singer, who was soon replaced with a Mr. Gus Monsanto. Keyboardist Richard Anderson was replaced by young talent Kevin Codfert.
