Upon releasing three albums in the 90’s (Shadow Gallery in 1992, Carved in Stone in 1995 and Tyranny in 1998), SHADOW GALLERY had not only met great worldwide acclaim from both media and fans alike for their original and very profound stylistic approach but also by this time, there was no doubt that the band had established themselves as a major force in progressive metal. In 2001, SHADOW GALLERY released their 4th album, Legacy, their last album on the Magna Carta label. Duke Egbert of the Daily Vault wrote, “Legacy is a brilliant, elegant, musically complex, melodic work, worthy of a band many call one of the founders of the prog-metal genre.” By 2005 SHADOW GALLERY had signed a new deal with Inside Out Music and returned to the scene with their newest album, Room V, which once again stunned the critics, prompting one reviewer to write “SHADOW GALLERY is for metal what Queen was for rock.”
Immediately after the release of Room V, SHADOW GALLERY began writing their next musical project for Inside Out Music but tragedy struck in October of 2008 with the death of lead singer and original band member Mike Baker. Deeply saddened and shocked by his passing due to a heart attack, the band vowed to honor their fallen band mate and the fans who loved him by moving forward with their 6th studio album, Digital Ghosts.
While recording with different guest vocalists, the band discovered a comrade in singer Brian Ashland, their newest member who debuts on Digital Ghosts. Coming off a series of deep concept albums that cover personal drama, political indifference, spirituality and the maturing of morality, SHADOW GALLERY has turned their musical wands towards telling their musical tales through individual songs on Digital Ghosts. During the writing and recording of this mature set of songs, the theme of "loss" became an obvious overtone that made its way to the emotion in the music and the lyrics, and still the mood, while dark at times, is full of passion and power and has a great uplifting appeal. In true SHADOW GALLERY tradition, Digital Ghosts features guest artists including Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear) with lead vocals on “Strong”, Clay Barton (Suspyre) with lead vocals shared with Carl Cadden-James on “Venom”, guitarist Srdjan Brankovic (Expedition Delta, Alogia) on “Strong” and keyboardist Vivien Lalu (Shadrane) on “Gold Dust”. Acclaimed drummer Joe Nevolo returns to guest on the songs “Venom” and “Gold Dust”.
Digital Ghosts - created with honor and passion, emotional, complex with superior musicianship is a progressive rock tour d’ force with influences derived from acts such as Genesis, Rush, Queen, Yes, Pink Floyd or even Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, presented in a contemporary shape and format that is set to also impress followers of bands like Dream Theater and Symphony X. As the ending drum motif of the album’s closing track “Haunted” hammers the point home, it is clear that Digital Ghosts is a benchmark classic album for SHADOW GALLERY. This concise disc of a plethora of ideas and emotions runs from the ravaging heaviest of guitar riffs to the softest moments of reflection. You will feel like you were on the ride of your life, eager to get back for more. SHADOW GALLERY has lined it all up, and is inviting the listener in to complete the equation of progressive rock in its finest of moments.

Giant is an American melodic hard rock band that was formed in 1987. The band consisted of founding members Dann Huff (lead vocals & guitar) and Alan Pasqua (keyboard), and had Dann's brother David Huff on drums and Mike Brignardello on bass. The Huff brothers were part of the founding members of the christian rock band White Heart. The band scored one major hit, the 1990 power ballad "I'll See You In My Dreams," written by Alan Pasqua and Mark Spiro.
Giant/s debut album, Last of the Runaways is amongst the best produced albums of the 80/s hard rock. Production is just stellar, every note is in the right place, sometimes it sounds like you are listening to some session musicians performs their magic in the studio with some top gun producer, but despite the shiny production work, I just couldn/t get into Giant. There is a lot of things I should like about them, like voice of the Dan Huff, which is really pleasant, nice songwriting, lots of hooks etc., but somehow I feel like there is something missing here. Songs just don/t have that edge that would made them interesting for a longer period of time. Sure, "I/ll See You In My Dreams" is a great powerballad, "Innocent Days" is a very good rocker and "Hold Back the Night" has a nice chorus, but others are little bit too long and too safe. All of the songs from the album can safely be included in the playlist of some late night program on the adult oriented radio, since they are inoffensive, light and smooth. I/m sure this album would be at the top of the list of every AOR fan, but I think that it/s lacking of sharpness wouldn/t do him good with fans of harder rock or metal.
Giant disbanded in the early 90s after recording two albums, but resurfaced in 2000 minus Alan Pasqua and released the album III in late 2001.

A Few Words

Message was a hard rock band that was formed in New Jersey around 1980.
The original members of the band were Dean Fasano (lead vocals, guitar),
Richie Sambora (guitar), Simon Gannett (organ), Bruce Foster (keyboard),
Alec John Such (bass), and Andy Rubbo (drums). The band disabanded
shortly after giving out one record, but the lead singer , Dean Fasano
gave out three more records later under the band name with a different
setting. The band was formed in 1980 by Dean Fasano. He sang lead vocals,
while Richie Sambora played guitar, Alec John Such played bass, Andy
Rubbo played drums, Simon Gannett played organ and Bruce Foster played
both electric and acoustic piano. Shortly after the band was formed,
they put out a self-titled album from their very own company. Due to
the lack of money, the band did only 1800 pressings of the album, and
they had to sell it from the trunk of their cars.
Two years after the forming of Message, they got the opportunity to be
an opening act for Joe Cocker. Unfortunately, they did not have the money
to tour over a long periode of time, therefore they only played a few
dates on the Joe Cocker tour. When the band returned to its roots in
Sayreville in New Jersey, some of the band members met Jon Bon Jovi from
"Jon Bon Jovi and the Wild Ones". This meeting would cause both Richie
Sambora and Alec John Such to leave Message in favor of Jon Bon Jovi's
new band, Bon Jovi. The members of Message parted ways, but they would
still stay in thouch with each other for some time. After the break up,
some bootlegs from the Joe Cocker tour was put out for sale in Europe,
and it hit the charts in some countries.
